This site lists the English screenings with Bulgarian subtitles at two Cinema City multiplexes in Sofia, on one page, by day.
Mall of Sofia and Paradise Center
We cover two cinemas:
- Cinema City Mall of Sofia
- Cinema City Paradise Center
The data comes from Cinema City's own schedule. For each screening, Cinema City lists the original language, any dubbed language, any voice-over and the subtitles. We keep a screening only when the original language is English, there is no dubbing or voice-over, and it has Bulgarian subtitles.
Two cases do not count. Closed captions are not Bulgarian subtitles, so a screening with only closed captions is left out. A Bulgarian film with English subtitles is also left out, because its sound is not English.
What a film card shows
Cinema City sends us English titles, so you read the film's English name, not the Bulgarian one. Next to it you see the running time and an IMDb rating when one is available.
Below the title there is one box per cinema with that day's times. Under each time, a short label gives the format, such as 2D, 3D or IMAX, and "Bulgarian subs".
Booking a seat
- Visit English movies in Sofia.
- Pick a day. The list starts with today and goes a week ahead.
- To compare the two cinemas, leave the cinema filter off. To see one, tap Mall of Sofia or Paradise Center under Cinemas.
- Use the Format filter for 3D, IMAX or another format.
- Tap a time. The Cinema City booking page opens.
You choose seats and pay on Cinema City's site.
If you know the film you want, type its name in the search box. The list then shows only that film, with its times at both cinemas.
