At Cinema City in Prague, one film can have both a dubbed and a subtitled version. That means a lot of programme to read before you find a film in English. This site reads it for you. It lists every English-language screening with Czech subtitles at the six Cinema City cinemas in Prague.

Six Cinema City cinemas

  • Cinema City Flora
  • Cinema City Chodov
  • Cinema City Letňany
  • Cinema City Nový Smíchov
  • Cinema City Slovanský dům
  • Cinema City Zličín

We take the schedule from Cinema City's own system. For every screening, Cinema City states the original language, any dubbed language, any voice-over and the subtitle languages. We show a screening when the original language is English, nothing is dubbed or voiced over, and it has subtitles. In Prague those subtitles are Czech, and each showtime says so with a small "Czech subs" label.

Titles you can read

Cinema City gives us the English title of each film, so the list is in English even when the cinema's Czech pages are not. Next to the title you see the running time and, when we find it, the IMDb rating.

Six cinemas, one list

With six cinemas, the same film can play at several of them in one evening. The film card groups the times by cinema, so you can compare Flora and Nový Smíchov at a glance.

To make the list shorter:

  1. Go to English movies in Prague.
  2. Pick a day. You can look up to a week ahead.
  3. Under Cinemas, tap the ones you can reach. You can pick more than one.
  4. Under Format, pick 2D, 3D, IMAX, 4DX or another format, when the cinema offers it that day.
  5. Type in the search box to jump to one film.

Tap a time to open the Cinema City booking page for that screening. You choose seats and pay there. Prices are on the Cinema City site.
