In Milan, the UCI multiplexes run some screenings in English with Italian subtitles. To find them, you would have to read each cinema's programme. This site reads them and shows only the English screenings.
Four UCI cinemas
We list four UCI cinemas in and around Milan:
- UCI Bicocca
- UCI Milanofiori
- UCI Pioltello
- UCI Lissone
Their schedules come straight from UCI. Each screening on the UCI site has a language and a subtitle setting. We keep it only when the language is English and the subtitles are Italian. A dubbed screening of the same film is dropped.
Italian titles, English titles
UCI uses the Italian release title. Sometimes that is the original title. Often it is not, and a film you know well can hide behind a name you have never seen. When we find the English title, the page shows it in large type with the Italian title below. An IMDb rating sits next to the title when we can find one.
Planning a night out
Say you live near Bicocca but would travel to Lissone for the right film. Open English movies in Milan and pick the day. You see every English screening at all four cinemas, film by film. Tap UCI Bicocca under Cinemas to see only that one, or leave the filter off to compare.
UCI shows films in more than one format. The Format filter lists the ones on offer that day, so you can narrow the list to one of them.
When you find a time that works, tap it. The UCI booking page opens, and you pick seats and pay there. We do not sell tickets and we do not show prices.
Why some days look empty
Some days a cinema has no English screening at all. The date row covers today and the next seven days, so check a few days ahead before you decide a film is not on in English.
