In Polish cinemas a film can play in three ways. It can be dubbed (dubbing), it can have a Polish voice-over read on top of the original (lektor), or it can keep the original audio with Polish subtitles (napisy). This site lists only the third kind for English films in Kraków.

Cinemas in Kraków

We cover the three Cinema City cinemas in the city:

  • Cinema City Bonarka
  • Cinema City Galeria Kazimierz
  • Cinema City Zakopianka

The times come from Cinema City's own schedule. For each show, Cinema City lists the original language, any dubbing, any voice-over and the subtitles. A show makes our list when the original language is English, there is no dub and no lektor, and Polish subtitles are on. If any of those is missing, we leave it out.

Reading the Polish labels

You will see these words on Cinema City's booking pages:

  • napisy means subtitles. An English film "z napisami" plays in English with Polish text on screen.
  • dubbing means the voices are Polish. Skip these.
  • lektor means one Polish voice reads the lines over the quiet original. Skip these too.

What you see for each film

Cinema City in Poland gives English titles, so the film names on our page match the ones you know. Each card has the poster, the running time and an IMDb rating when one exists. Under each cinema you see the showtimes for the chosen day, each with its format and "Polish subs".

Cinema City runs many screen types. Depending on the day you may see 2D, 3D, IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX or VIP next to a time.

How to use it

Start at English movies in Kraków. The dates run from today to seven days ahead. Pick one. Tap a cinema name to show only Bonarka, Kazimierz or Zakopianka. Tap a format to narrow it further, or search by title.

When a time suits you, tap it. The Cinema City ticket page for that show opens, and you book there.

The same film can play with napisy in one hall and with dubbing in the next. Our list already separates them, but check the language line on the ticket page before you pay, just to be sure.
