At the two UCI cinemas in the Florence area, some shows keep the English soundtrack and add Italian subtitles. This site lists those shows, so you can find them without reading the whole programme.

The cinemas we cover

  • UCI Firenze
  • UCI Campi Bisenzio

Both belong to the UCI Cinemas chain. We read their schedules directly from UCI, one day at a time, for eight days starting today.

How we pick the English shows

UCI tags every version of a film with an audio language and a subtitle language. We keep a show only when the audio is English and the subtitles are Italian. That rule is strict. A dubbed Italian version of the same film does not appear, and neither does a film in another language.

On the page, each showtime says "Italian subs" so you know what to expect on screen.

Italian titles and English titles

UCI lists films under their Italian release title, which is not always a translation of the original. When we can find the English title, we put it at the top of the film card and keep the Italian title in small text below. You also get the IMDb rating when one exists, the running time and the age rating.

Finding a show and booking it

  1. Visit English movies in Florence.
  2. Choose a day. "Today" and "Tomorrow" come first, then the dates for the rest of the week.
  3. Tap UCI Firenze or UCI Campi Bisenzio to see only one of them. Tap both, or neither, to see all.
  4. Use the format buttons if you want a particular screen type, such as IMAX or 3D, when UCI offers it.
  5. Tap a showtime to open the UCI booking page for that show.

Seat choice, prices and payment are on UCI's website.

One film may have English times at only one of the two cinemas, or on only some days. Check every day of the week before you decide a film is not on in English. A film missing on Thursday can still have an English show on Saturday.
