Brno has two Cinema City multiplexes, Olympia and Velký Špalíček. This site lists only their English-language screenings with Czech subtitles, for today and the following week.
Why a separate list helps
At Cinema City, the same title can play in Czech at one time and in English at another. Our Brno page checks the language of every screening at both cinemas and keeps only the English ones.
A screening makes the list when Cinema City says:
- the original language is English,
- the screening is not dubbed and has no voice-over,
- it has subtitles.
What you get is English audio with Czech subtitles. Each showtime carries the label "Czech subs".
Two cinemas, one page
Olympia and Velký Špalíček appear together on the same list. If you only want one, tap its name in the cinema filter. If a film plays at both, you see both blocks of times under the same film card.
Titles are in English, the way Cinema City lists them in its English version. Under each title you find the running time and an IMDb rating when we can match the film.
Step by step
- Start at English movies in Brno.
- The page opens on today. Tap a date to look ahead, up to a week.
- Tap Olympia or Velký Špalíček to filter by cinema.
- Use the format filter for 2D, 3D, IMAX or 4DX when the programme has them.
- Search for a title if you know what you want.
- Tap a showtime to go to the Cinema City ticket page for that screening.
Tickets, prices and seat choice are on the Cinema City site. We only link to it.
When a film is missing
If you cannot find a film, it may only play dubbed in Brno that week, or not be on at all. Our page reads the Cinema City programme each time you open it. Try again in a day or two.
